You can tell if your Bilstein shocks are bad if you notice symptoms like excessive bouncing, a rough or uncomfortable ride, or visible leaks of hydraulic fluid from the shocks. Additionally, uneven tire wear and poor handling or instability while driving can also indicate that the shocks need to be inspected or replaced.
